The women's volleyball team honored popular senior Rebecca Peralta this evening as part of their home match against the Stevens Institute of Technology (22-5).

Peralta, who also serves as a team captain, led the Bearcats this evening with 13 kills and six digs in a tough straight set loss (25-15, 25-18, 25-21).

McKenzie Davidson recorded seven kills, while Crystle Dela Cruz had another double-double of 28 assists and 13 digs against the visiting Ducks from Hoboken, New Jersey.

The Bearcats actually totaled more kills with a narrow 27-26 advantage, but the visitors were slightly more accurate hitting .248 compared to .233. The Bearcats also struggled with 13 reception errors, while the visitors, who stand in first place at 7-0 in their respective Empire 8 Conference, had only one the entire match.

Prior to the start of the match, the team honored Peralta for her success on-and-off the court for Baruch College in front of family and friends.

The women's volleyball team will return to action on Tuesday, October 29, with a 7:00 pm CUNYAC home contest against Medgar Evers College.
