Men's & Women's Swimming Drop Tough Meet to Division I Manhattan College

Individual: 9 (1st Place), 4 (2nd Place), 3 (3rd Place), 2 (4th Place), 1 (5th Place)

The men's and women's swimming teams lost a hard fought meet to Division I Manhattan College on Friday night in the ARC Aquatic Center.

The women fell 103-91, while the men lost 103-78 in a meet that took place in front of a capacity crowd on the B3 level.

The swimming teams will continue their higher level non-conference schedule on Thursday, November 14, with a dual meet at Division II Queens College with the time of 6:00 pm. Division II Adelphi University will be the third competing team.

TOP HIGHLIGHTS

**The meet started on a winning note with Daniela Marquez, Julia Sung, Sally Lim and Daniela Giraldo winning the 200 medley relay (2:12.03).
 
**Julia Sung started as a member of the winning 200 medley relay and later won the individual 200 Individual Medley (2:33.26). She also broke her own record in winning the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:18.63.

**In addition to the 200 medley relay, Daniela Marquez finished second in the 50 freestyle (29.64) and second in the 100 freestyle (1:04.26). She broke the Baruch freshman record in the 100 freestyle.

**In addition to the 200 medley relay, Daniela Giraldo took second place in the 100 butterfly (1:10.81). She broke the school and freshman record in the 100 butterfly.

**James Chang won the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.87 and took third place in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.16.
He broke the school  record in the 50 freestye.
