Highlights

*Senior captain Sally Lim placed third in the 1,000 yard freestyle, having to fight for over half of the race against the fourth place finisher, Lim came in with the time of 12:48.42. In the other long distance race, the 500 freestyle, Lim came in second with the time of 6:02.83.

*The 50 freestyle sprint both Daniela Marquez and

*In the 200 individual medley, where the swimmer must swim each of the four strokes in a pre-determined order, Jacky Lau placed first over four seconds ahead of his competitors, with a time of 2:01.47. Lau later placed first in his specialty, the 100 backstroke, teammate and captain
Michael Matskovsky right behind him finishing second with a time of 58.98.

*Daniela Giraldo swam a close race in the 100 butterfly finishing second, .1 seconds behind her competitor. For the men, Eric Wang out-swam the pool placing first with the time of 52.45.

Andrew Lubrino (whose older sister Alyssa Lubrino is an alumni sprinter for the Bearcats) and David Pejovic finished right behind each other placing fourth and fifth respectively.

*Captain
Rose Lee had quite a close race herself in the 100 backstroke, for the entire race the top three spots were up for grabs between her and one swimmer from Queens and one from Adelphi, in the end Lee placed third.

*For the 100 breaststroke, it was
Amy Sung, the CUNYAC Volleyball Libero of the Year, who represented the women placing fourth with the time of 1:18.20. David Pejovic came in second with the time of 1:04.60 for the men, while captain Jonathan Hla placed fourth, also with a time of 1:04, once again the race coming down to milliseconds.

*The men's 200 medley relay was a great start for the team placing first. Michael Matskovsky, Jonathan Hla, Miguel Meza, and David Scholes beat their competition by over two seconds, with the time of 1:45.42.

*For the men, the swim meet came down to the last relay of 200 freestyle, arguably the loudest event of the night, Jacky Lau, Andrew Lubrino, David Pejovic, and Eric Wang each responsible with a quick sprint of 50 freestyle apiece placed third with the time of 1:31.73.
