The women's volleyball team lost a four-set match to St. Joseph's College of Patchogue on Tuesday night on Long Island.

The visiting Bearcats started strong with a convincing opening set win of 25-15, but the home team battled back with 25-22, 25-22, 25-17 scores for the 3-1 overall win.

Neither team this evening hit the ball well (Baruch .107), but St. Joseph's (.162) was slightly better to record the non-conference win.

Sydney Parks led the Bearcats with 11 kills, two aces and three blocks. Michelle Stommes had eight kills and digs each, while Crystle Dela Cruz dished out 25 assists.

Amy Sung, who earlier today was named the CUNYAC Libero of the Week for her solid efforts this past weekend at the DeSales Invitational, was solid in the back against St. Joseph's with 13 digs.  

St. Joseph's College from the Skyline Conference played in the same Fall NCAA Regional bracket last season as the Bearcats in Amherst, Massachusetts.

The women's volleyball team will return to action this weekend with another trip to Pennsylvania to compete in the Muhlenberg Invitational in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
