The Blue Knights of Mount Saint Mary College rallied with four runs in the eighth inning to knock off the Bearcats, 5-4, in a non-conference contest on Sunday afternoon at Dutchess Stadium in upstate Fishkill, New York.

The visiting Bearcats started strong and scored first in their first at-bat with Jasdeep Buttar smacking an RBI double to score Jesus Ozuna Perez for the 1-0 lead.

The Blue Knights tied the game in their first at-bat, but the Bearcats came right back in the second inning with Zachary T. Uher hitting an RBI double to right center to plate Eric Ulino.

They increased the lead to 4-1 with the hot bat of Buttar again. He hit an RBI ground out in the fifth inning to score Matthew Ballone and his second RBI double in the seventh to score Nicholas Calabrese for the three run advantage heading into the eighth inning.

Unfortunately, the Blue Knights from the Skyline Conference scored four runs on two hits and two errors to rally for the 5-4 win at the minor league stadium used by the Hudson Valley Renegades.

The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, March 24, with a 3:00 non-conference contest at the No. 6 ranked Cougars of Kean University in Union, New Jersey.
