Swimming Teams Split at Lehman

The swimming teams split their meet on Thursday night at Lehman College.

The women (4-4, 4-1 CUNYAC) recorded a 123-101 win, while the men (2-5, 2-2 CUNYAC) lost 134-103 in the Bronx.

The men's and women's swimming teams will return to action on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 18, with a 6:00 pm non-conference home meet vs Division I Manhattan College.

HIGHLIGHTS

*Rose Lee had another three win meet by finishing first in the 200 medley relay (1:59.23), 200 freestyle (2:16.64), and 100 backstroke (1:06.62).

*Amy Sung was also victorious in three events the 200 medley relay (1:59.23), 100 breaststroke (1:15.26), and 200 freestyle (1:50.80).

*Yee Chung Phang was part of the winning 200 medley relay team (1:59.23), while finishing second in the 200 individual medley (2:24.62) and 100 butterfly (1:08.41).   

*Wendy Ambrosio was a three event winner in the 1,000 freestyle (12:07.66), 500 freestyle (6:00.13), and 200 freestyle relay events (1:50.80).

*Daniela Marquez was first in the 200 medley relay (1:59.23) and second in the fast 50 freestyle (27.09).

*Safiya Sergeant placed second in the 100 freestyle (1:02.80) and first as a team in the 200 freestyle relay (1:02.80).

*Rachel Samuels was a winning member of 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:50.80.

*Natalie Murawski was second in the long 500 freestyle (7:02.70) and 1,000 freestyle (14:15.52) events.

*Jacky Lau was a two event winner in the 100 (48.70) and 200 freestyle (1:50.73) events, while finishing second in the 200 medley relay (1:43.91).

*Andrew Lubrino was second in both the 50 freestyle (23.31) and 100 backstroke (1:03.65) events.

*David Pejovic won the 200 freestyle (1:36.59), while placing second in the 200 individual medley (2:14.64) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.80) events.

*Miguel Meza was first in the butterfly (57.25) and second as a team in the 200 medley relay (1:43.91).

*David Scholes was first in the 200 freestyle relay (1:36.59) and second in the 500 freestyle (5:13.58).
