The men's and women's swimming teams lost a non-conference home meet to the Division I program of Manhattan College during Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 18, in the ARC Aquatic Center.

The Baruch women started strong with the team of Rose Lee, Amy Sung, Yee Chung Phang and Daniela Marquez winning the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:14.56.

Phang later finished second in both the 200 individual medley (2:42.11) and 100 butterfly (1:15.88) events to more than hold her own against the higher level program from Riverdale, New York.

On the men's side, the team of David Scholes, David Pejovic, Miguel Meza and Andrew Lubrino took second place in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:00.73.

The men finish their regular season schedule and will next prepare for the CUNYAC Finals on February 5-7 at Lehman College.

The women will finish the regular season portion of their schedule with a rescheduled meet against John Jay College of Criminal Justice on Friday, January 22, at 6 p.m. at home in the ARC Aquatic Center.

Please note the Baruch College Alumni Office will host Alumni Night, including Student-Athlete Alumni, on Friday, January 22 during the women's swim meet and basketball doubleheader vs Hunter College.
