CUNYAC Announces Baseball Championship Schedule

The CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) has announced the schedule for the 2016 Championship Tournament that will begin on Thursday, May 5.

The second-seeded Bearcats on Thursday at 4 p.m. will host the winner of the 1 p.m. play-in game between John Jay/CCNY. These two games will be played at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York.

The second and third day of the tournament will all take place at the College of Staten Island baseball Complex.

In addition to the five CUNYAC schools (Baruch, CCNY, John Jay, Lehman, Staten Island) with baseball programs, the conference welcomes as a sixth team the University of Maine-Presque Island as an associate member. The conference is expected to add a seventh baseball team as an associate in 2017.

Day 1 - Thursday, May 5 @ #1 and #2 Seeds
Game A, 4 p.m., #4 Maine-Presque Island vs. #5 Lehman (elimination game)
Game 1, 7 p.m., #1 Staten Island vs. Game A Winner

Game B, 1 p.m., #3 John Jay vs. #6 CCNY (elimination game)
Game 2, 4 p.m., #2 Baruch vs. Game B Winner

Day 2 – Friday, May 6 @ College of Staten Island
Game 3, 1 p.m., Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2 (elimination game)
Game 4, 4 p.m., Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2
Game 5, 7 p.m., Winner Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4

Day 3 – Saturday, May 7 @ College of Staten Island
Game 6, 4 p.m., Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5 (elimination game)
Game 7, 7 p.m., Same as Game 6, if necessary.
