Women's Tennis Defeats Rival Hunter (8-1)

The women's tennis team recorded an 8-1 CUNYAC home win against Hunter College on Saturday afternoon at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

The Bearcats controlled the match winning all three doubles and five of six singles to raise their season record to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the CUNYAC.

Isabel Arias and Grace Graham combined for an 8-0 shutout win at first doubles.

Graham, Hayley Bester, Sharada Tangirala, and Lejla Redzematovic also recorded convincing wins in their singles encounters.

The Bearcats will return to action on Columbus Day, Monday, October 9, with a CUNYAC contest at 12 p.m. at the College of Staten Island.
