Bearcats Drop Doubleheader to Farmingdale

The women's softball team lost a non-conference doubleheader at Farmingdale State on Wednesday afternoon in Farmingdale, New York.
 
In the first game, the visiting Bearcats took an early 1-0 lead in the first off of Cassandra Lagana's RBI single to right field with the bases loaded, allowing Nicole Bellini to score the team's only run of the game.

Farmingdale then went on to score 10 runs in the second inning and nine in the third to put the game away, 20-1.
 
The Bearcats were able to contain Farmingdale much better in the second game, limiting them to five runs on eight hits, but were unable to get their offense going, getting five hits but no runs across during seven innings.
 
The softball team will be home for their next game at Randall's Island, facing off against CUNYAC rival Staten Island in a doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m. at Randall's Island Field #15.
