Bearcats Blank John Jay (8-0), Advance to Friday's Softball Championship Rounds

The softball team recorded a 8-0, five inning, mercy rule playoff win against the Bloodhounds of John Jay College on a blustery and sunny Wednesday afternoon at the College of Staten Island Softball Complex.

Cassandra Lagana limited the Bloodhounds to two hits on the mound, while Olivia Dellston hit an inside-the-park, three-run homer in the fourth inning to help the fifth-seeded Bearcats upset fourth-seeded Bloodhounds.

Lagana and Kristen Podlovits (triple) each finished two hits as part of a 9-hit attack this afternoon.

The Bearcats will next play top-seeded CSI on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Please note there are weather concerns for Friday through Saturday. Any schedule changes will be posted as they become available.
