Women's Volleyball Sweeps Purchase on Bearcats Appreciation Night

The women's volleyball team hit for a .341 hitting percentage to record a 25-14, 25-11, 25-9 win over the Panthers of SUNY Purchase on Thursday night in the ARC Arena.

Prior to the match, the team and athletic department honored Shannon Barrett, Mina Pantovic and Yeaslie Velasco for their dedication and hard work to the women's volleyball team, as they played this evening in their final regular season home match.

The Bearcats started strong and hit a torrid .414 in the second set to stretch their winning streak to three matches.

The trio of Stella Chung , Abigail Nolasco (career-high), and Anita Sengara had eight kills in the win.

Sanaa Hadjeb dished out 23 assists and Wai Chang had eight digs.

The Bearcats will travel to upstate New York this weekend to participate in the SUNY Oneonta Dig Pink Invitational.
