Bearcats Fall 6-1 to St. Joseph’s of Long Island

The baseball team lost 6-1 to St. Joseph's College of Long Island on Tuesday afternoon at MCU Park.

The Bearcats took a 1-0 lead in their opening at-bat when
Gerardo Roque hit a double to right field to drive in Michael McGroarty.

McGroarty finished with three hits in the game, and has now recorded a hit in 11 consecutive games.  


Robert Raman had a solid outing in relief for the Bearcats. The freshman did not allow an earned run in 3.1 innings of work.

The visiting Golden Eagles from the Skyline Conference scored six runs on 11 total hits. Daniel Campanelli and Paul Britt had two hits each.

The Bearcats will play their final regular season games when they face John Jay in a home doubleheader on Saturday, April 28, at Bronx Community College with first pitch at 1 p.m.

The team will honor Donovan Hunt and Edwin St. Hilaire on Senior Day.
