Bearcats Fall in Lexington Avenue Clash

The women's volleyball team lost in three (9-25, 27-29, 13-25) to their rival the Hawks of Hunter College on Thursday night at the Hunter Sportsplex.

The two teams played a thrilling second set that saw it go an extra mile with each team at one point holding the lead and set point, but the Hawks squeezed out the win on their home court to take the pivotal set in the conference match. 

Stella Chung (10 kills) and Anita Sengara (nine kills) led the attack, while Sanaa Soumia Hadjeb had 21 assists. Danielle Naggar was solid in the back with 14 digs. 

Taylor Haiduk led a balanced attack for the Hawks with nine kills.

The Bearcats will next enjoy a brief break in the schedule and will resume conference action next Tuesday at Brooklyn College.
