Women's Volleyball Sweeps St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) on Bearcat Appreciation Night

The women's volleyball team defeated the Bears of St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn, 25-10, 25-8, 25-18, on Thursday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats got off to a quick start hitting .394 in the first set on their way to finishing with 46 kills, compared to 16 by the visiting Bears from the Skyline Conference.

Anita Sengara led the attack again with 16 kills, hitting .577, while Yijia Cai also had a solid effort with eight kills.

Sanaa Hadjeb dished out 28 assists and Wai Chang finished with 16 digs in the regular season home finale.

Cristina Morales was tops for the visitors with seven kills and 10 digs.

Prior to the match, the athletic department and women's volleyball team honored Sanaa Hadjeb, Anita Sengara, Wai Chang and Cindy Cui for their hard work and service to the volleyball program.
