Women's Tennis Finishes Second at CUNYAC Championship

The women's tennis team lost 5-2 to Hunter College in the CUNYAC Championship played on Friday afternoon at the USTA Billie Kean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.

The Bearcats lost two of three doubles and were only able to claim one point in singles to suffer the tough loss.

Hailey Feuer and Lejla Redzematovic won at first doubles, 8-3.

Feuer won the singles point again at the number one flight, 6-0, 6-0. She lost only four games all season.

The team was making their first appearance in the conference championship match since 2016. They have played in the championship match 16 times since the tournament began in 1982.

They finish their regular season fall schedule with 10 wins and will resume playing a brief Spring schedule beginning on April 4 against Manhattanville College.
