Baseball Suffers First Loss, Drop Contest to Otterbein (15-4)

The Bearcats lost 15-4 to Otterbein University of Ohio on Thursday afternoon in Fort Myers, Florida.

The Cardinals of Otterbein broke open the contest in the second inning with seven runs on three hits and one error. 

The Bearcats posted a pair of runs in each of the third and fifth innings to account for their four runs.

Kemal Deljanin smacked an RBI double and Conor McCabe hit an RBI ground out in the third inning.

Both players were involved in the scoring again in the fifth inning as Deljanin had an RBI ground out and McCabe hit an RBI single.

Overall, the Bearcats finished with eight hits. Deljanin led at the plate batting 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Otterbein finished the game with 15 runs on 16 hits. They had six different players with at least two hits.
