The women's volleyball team lost in four sets
to the Bears of St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn in the home opener on Tuesday night.
The Bearcats started strong jumping out to a 11-0 lead in the opening set en route to winning 25-22. They lost a tough second set 24-26 and could not rally losing the last two 14-25, 19-25.
The two teams each totaled 31 kills, but the visiting Bears from the
Skyline Conference were more effective hitting.
Sarah Chung, who earlier today was named the
CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, led the attack this evening with 11 kills and collected 20 digs.
Ada Cao (seven kills, 14 digs) and
Amina Muminovic (15 assists) also had a productive match.
