Women's Tennis Win Streak Reaches Seven, Defeat York 9-0

The women's tennis team won their seventh match in a row defeating the Cardinals of York College 9-0 in a rescheduled CUNYAC match on Friday afternoon York College.

The Bearcats won all six singles and three doubles for the conference victory that takes them to 4-0 in the CUNYAC standings with one conference match left against Hunter next Tuesday. 

The Bearcats won at third doubles behind the efforts of Alejandra Cardenas and Stephanie Tapia winning, 8-0.

They continued to control the match in singles with Ava Deguzman (#1, 6-0, 1-0 retired), Erica Sheludenko (#2, 6-0, 6-0), Keila Pagan (#3, 6-0, 6-0) and Brianna Joy Augustin (#6, 6-0, 6-1) all winning.

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday with a 2:00 p.m. non-conference match at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.
