Baseball Loses Tough DH to Maritime

The baseball team lost a non-conference doubleheader to SUNY Maritime on Sunday afternoon in the Bronx.   

The Privateers from the Skyline Conference won the first game in a walk off 2-1 and took the second in a shutout 13-0.

DOUBLEHEADER HIGHLIGHTS

* The visiting Bearcats scored first in the fourth inning of game one as Robert Wakely came around to score on a throwing error.

* The host Privateers rallied with a run in each of the sixth and seventh innings to walk off with the 2-1 win.

 *Nathaniel Demchak pitched six innings, allowed only two hits, one earned run, while striking out six for a solid debut.

" The host Privateers took a six-run lead after three innings of the second game en route to the shutout win.

* Zachary Rosenfeld had the lone hit with a single in the fifth inning.
