Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Bearcats Begin Spring Schedule Against Kean

 The women's tennis team began their spring schedule tonight with a match against Kean University in Union, New Jersey.

The non-conference match took over four hours in a highly competitive encounter. The Cougars won two of the three doubles and four of the six singles for the win.

The Bearcats will next travel upstate on Monday to play against Oneonta State as they continue to prepare for next month's NCAA Tournament.

HIGHLIGHTS

* The squad won at first doubles, 8-4, behind the efforts of Ava Deguzman and Esther Benjamin. 

* Deguzman also won at first singles as her opponent retired, 5-0.

* Arielle Rabizadeh won at fifth singles, 7-5, 6-4.
