Women's Volleyball Defeats Old Westbury in Home Opener

The women's volleyball team won a hard-fought non-conference home match against the Panthers of SUNY Old Westbury on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats won the nearly two-hour match in four sets with scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-16, 25-19 with a total of 48 kills compared to 26 by the visitors from Long Island.

The match featured 14 ties and seven lead changes. In the end, the Bearcats finished strong to wrap up the win.

Sarah Chung and Julia Perkowski led the attack, while Amina Muminovic missed tying her career-high by one assist finishing with 39.
