The men's and women's swimming teams competed against the NCAA Division II program the Dolphins from the College of Staten Island on Monday afternoon.

The Bearcats lost the tough head-to-head encounters as they continue to prepare for the CUNYAC Finals at the end of the month.

The visiting Bearcats had a number of winners in today's meet.

Kaetlyn Chavez was twice victorious winning the 200 yard free (2:15.72) by over two seconds and later the 100 backstroke by nearly three seconds (1:07.44).   

Youssef Elkhouly continued his winning ways also winning twice, the first by over three seconds in the 200 yard IM (1:58.50) and later the 100 backstroke (53.98) by a second and a half.  

Kira Chen also took care of business winning by just under one second in the 100 butterfly (1:05.23).

The Bearcats will continue their busy schedule with 6:00 p.m. CUNYAC meet at Brooklyn College on Wednesday night.
