Women's Volleyball Loses Tough 5-Set CUNYAC Semifinal

The women's volleyball team lost in five tough sets (21-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21, 9-15) to the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice in a CUNYAC Championship semifinal match on Thursday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats posted 37 kills (.047) this evening, but the visiting Bloodhounds posted 47 (.090) to advance in the tournament.

The Bearcats fell behind 6-1 in the fifth set but battled back to level 7-7 before the changeover. They could not maintain the momentum in suffering the tough post-season loss 15-9 loss in the fifth set.

The team exceeded expectations this season finishing in second place after being predicted to finish only fourth in the pre-season coaches poll.
