Montclair State Defeats Bearcats in Saturday Action

The Bearcats hosted Montclair State University in the ARC Arena on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference match up.

The visiting Red Hawks posted a 25-18, 25-16, 25-19 victory to defeat the Bearcats.

The Bearcats had 30 total kills for the match, with nine coming from Delaney Killeen, six from Dibjot Kaur and Karolina Lundqvist, and five from Michelle Murillo.

They also dished out 27 assists with 24 coming from Karen Pozo Castro. Castro now has 360 assists for the entire season putting her at third place for total assists in all of CUNYAC.

Despite the loss, the Bearcats played with great effort and persistence, bringing the score to as close as 18-19 in the third set.

Montclair State's Emily Carcich had 25 assists for the Red Hawks from the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
