Baruch SAAC & Volleyball Host Dig Pink Night

SAAC DIG PINK - BREAST CANCER AWARENESS FUNDRAISER LINK

The Bearcats faced off against the Golden Eagles from St. Joseph's University of Long Island on Tuesday evening for Dig Pink Night in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Bearcats lost a tough match 20-25, 16-25, 10-25.

They had a total of 22 kills tonight with eight from Dibjot Kaur and seven from Karolina Lundqvist. Pei Qiong Ren led the team with 11 assists.

Caroline Elfner, Karen Pozo Castro, and Karla Javier Leyba each had one service ace making Castro third place on the CUNY Athletic Conference leader board for aces.

Despite the loss, the Bearcats also played great defense with a total of 42 digs - 10 from Ren, nine from Elfner, and seven from Lundqvist.

Lauren Goss recorded 21 assists for the visiting Golden Eagles from the Skyline Conference.

The team's next match will be on the night of Halloween this Thursday at 7:00 against CCNY on Bearcats Appreciation Night. Prior to the match, the team will honor outgoing seniors Isabella Doring and Delaney Killeen.
