Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Women's Volleyball Sweeps Lehman (28-26, 25-19, 25-15)

The women's volleyball team went on the road Friday afternoon to play a CUNYAC make up match at Lehman College.

The Bearcats won the opening set 28-26 and took control in the next two for the 3-set victory. 

Eight different players recorded at least one kill with Karolina Lundqvist leading the way with 11 kills and Elizabeth Wood with seven kills to help in the victory. Karla Javier Leyba recorded six kills.

Karen Pozo Castro was busy dishing out 29 assists.

The Bearcats were solid defensively with five players recording at least eight digs led by Caroline Elfner (16), Michelle Murillo (14), Emilie Kaziu (12), Pei Qiong Ren (9), and Pozo Castro (8).

Alanis Vasquez led the Lightning with seven kills.

The Bearcats will be back in action tomorrow at the Kean University Tri-Match in Union, New Jersey. The play Kean at 12:00 p.m. and DeSales University at 2:00 p.m.
