Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Women's Volleyball Sweeps Maritime at Home

The women's volleyball team recorded a straight-set 25-18, 28-26, 25-17 home victory against the Privateers from SUNY Maritime on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats controlled the opening set winning 25-18, but found themselves in a tough second set needing a late rally to win.

They were trailing 22-19 in the second but managed to battle back to tie at 24-24. The two teams were tied again twice at 25-25 and 26-26, but they won the set thanks to back-to-back kills by Isabella Doring and Michelle Murillo to capture the second 28-26.

The Bearcats jumped out to a 13-5 lead in the third set en route to winning 25-17 to even their season record at 2-2.

Doring came up big tonight with 13 kills hitting .478 to go along with nine digs.

Delaney Killeen was next best with eight kills and Dibjot Kaur added seven kills.

Karen Pozo Castro was busy again dishing out 32 assists and collecting 12 digs.

Karelys Rolon led the visitors from the Whitestone section of the Bronx with seven kills.
