Melanie Pellegrino is in her third season as head coach of the softball program and in her first year with the Athletic & Recreation (ARC) Staff.
Melanie was promoted to Head Coach on July 9, 2014. She served as an assistant coach during the 2014 spring season.
Pellegrino is a familiar face after playing four years (2009-12) for the Bearcats as a shortstop and catcher. She was a starting member of two CUNYAC Championship teams (2010, 2012) that went on to play in the NCAA Regionals in New Jersey and Rhode Island.
She was also a three-time CUNYAC All-Star with second team honors during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, while earning first team honors in 2012.
Pellegrino spent the 2013 spring season as an assistant softball coach at Lehman College.
She graduated from Baruch in 2012 with a B.A. Degree in Music. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Physical Education at Queens College.
