Allison Stack just wrapped up her seventh season as the head coach of the women’s volleyball team.
Under Stack’s leadership, the Bearcats have established themselves as one of the top teams in the region and become the dominant program in the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC).
She has coached 32 CUNYAC All-Star selections, two CUNYAC Rookie of the Year (2009 and 2011), three Libero of the Year (2009, 2010, 2011), three A.V.C.A. All-Region selections (2010, 2011, 2012) and one A.V.C.A. All-American Honorable Mention Player (2012).
Stack is the winningest coach in Baruch women’s volleyball history with 148 total wins and a .595 winning percentage. She was named CUNYAC coach of the Year in 2009 & 2012.
Stack has coached her team to the CUNYAC Tournament all seven years, with the Bearcats reaching the finals during the past four years and winning it back-to-back years in 2011 & 2012. In addition, Baruch earned a bid to the ECAC’s in 2009, and the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championships in 2011 and 2012.
She has also coached the team to four straight seasons with at least 24 wins. This past season, Baruch won both the CUNYAC regular season and tournament championships, as the team complied a 24-11 overall record and an undefeated 8-0 mark in the CUNY Athletic Conference. They beat programs they’ve never beaten before such as NYU, Elmira, Stevens Tech and Ramapo.
Stack is also on the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Division III Regional Advisory Committee and A.V.C.A. All-Regional Selection Committee.
Prior to joining Baruch, she also worked in the athletic department of Division I Columbia University.
In the fall of 2005, Allison was named the head varsity volleyball coach at Riverdale Country School in the Bronx, New York. She led the young ladies to a 15-4 record, second in the Ivy League, and fourth in the New York State Association of Independent Schools.
Stack is a graduate of Bryant College (May 2003), with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management). She also earned a Master of Arts in Sport Management from Adelphi University.
She played intercollegiate volleyball at Bryant College and was named to their All-Decade Team in 2010. Her achievements were also recognized in high school as she was inducted into the Hauppauge High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
In addition to her women volleyball coaching duties, coach Stack is the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance & Student Academic Services and Head Men’s Volleyball Coach at Baruch College.
She resides in New York City with her husband Justin and two children Logan (3) and Zoey (1).
