Baruch College has announced the appointment of Andrew Jenkins as the new Head Coach of the Men's Soccer program. The announcement was made by Director of Athletics & Recreation Heather MacCulloch on March 4, 2026.
Jenkins will oversee all aspects of the NCAA Division III program, including recruiting, student-athlete development, alumni engagement, fundraising initiatives, and coaching the Bearcats' full competitive schedule during the fall championship segment.
Football (soccer) has long been central to Jenkins' life — from playing and studying the game to building a distinguished coaching career. He began coaching at just 19 years old with Glentoran Football Club, one of Northern Ireland's premier professional academies, while earning his BSc in Business Management from Queen's University Belfast. During this time, he developed a strong foundation in player development and helped cultivate top young talent, creating pathways to the professional ranks while earning his UEFA B Coaching License.
In 2014, Jenkins relocated to the United States to pursue coaching full-time. He worked with several highly regarded organizations, including Global Premier Soccer and Liverpool FC International Academy, before joining South Bronx United in 2017 as Director of Soccer — a position he continues to hold. Over the past eight and a half years, he has led significant program growth, highlighted by EDP League championships, multiple tournament titles, and a club-best #3 ranking in New York State. His leadership at South Bronx United reflects a deep commitment to access, ensuring that student-athletes from all economic backgrounds receive high-level coaching while competing at an elite standard.
"We are thrilled to welcome Andy Jenkins to Baruch College as our new Head Men's Soccer Coach," said MacCulloch. "Stepping into a program with a proud tradition and a long history of success at the NCAA Division III level is both an honor and a significant responsibility. Andy brings the leadership, integrity, and student-athlete-centered philosophy that align perfectly with the values of Baruch Athletics and Recreation. As we build on the strong foundation established over many years, we are confident that Andy will elevate our men's soccer program with a focus on competitive excellence, academic achievement, and a first-class student-athlete experience. His vision, energy, and commitment to developing young men on and off the field make him the right leader for this next chapter of Bearcat Soccer. We are excited for our student-athletes, alumni, and the entire Baruch community to welcome him to the Bearcat family."
Jenkins joins an eight-time CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) championship program and expressed enthusiasm about continuing the tradition of excellence established by his predecessor.
'I am delighted to step in as Head Coach at this incredible institution. I want to sincerely thank Coach Dima—not only for his years of dedication building this program, but also for his guidance during this transition. While losing a coach of his caliber brings change, he has left the team in a strong position, and I am confident we can continue achieving success. It's an honor to lead this team, and I look forward to meeting the players and getting started.'
