Yashira Centeno begins her first year at Baruch College as the Athletics Compliance Coordinator.
In her role, Centeno assists with the administration and oversight of the department’s compliance program, supporting adherence to NCAA Division III, CUNYAC, and Baruch College rules and regulations. Her responsibilities include assisting with student-athlete eligibility and participation requirements, NCAA documentation, compliance education, roster management, and maintaining accurate compliance records.
Prior to joining Baruch, Centeno gained experience in collegiate athletics with a background in sports information, game-day operations, and administration at Monroe University. Through these experiences, she developed a comprehensive understanding of intercollegiate athletics and the day-to-day operations of an athletics department.
Centeno earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Monroe University. She is committed to supporting the academic and athletic success of student-athletes while promoting integrity, accountability, and excellence throughout Baruch Athletics.
