Junior point guard Monique Salmon was named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for December 2009.

During the month of December, Monique averaged 10.8 points and 7.8 assists per game. In addition, she broke Diane Ramirez’s team record for all-time career assists (433) in Baruch women’s basketball history.

** In her finest performance of the month, she scored 17 points and dished out 11 assists in a neutral court win over Trinity College (12/4).

** Scored seven points and recorded 10 assists in a home victory over Rutgers-Newark (12/7).

** Scored 11 points and dished out seven assists in a home victory over Montclair State. During the game, she broke the team record of career assists (433) previously held by Diane Ramirez. (12/12).

** Scored 16 points and dished out eight assists versus Wisconsin-Oshkosh (12/29) in Phoenix, Arizona.
