Kalea Davis recorded a double-double (19 points, 13 rebounds) to pace five players in double-figure scoring to lead the Bearcats to an 84-71 conference home victory on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.

With the win, the Bearcats improve to 9-3 overall and a perfect 3-0 in CUNYAC, while the visiting Hawks drop to 4-5 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

The Hawks jumped out early to a quick 11-3 lead in the opening minutes of the first half, but the Bearcats regrouped and broke open a tie (28-28) in the last four minutes with an 11-2 run to take a 39-30 halftime advantage.

They kept up the momentum at the start of the second half and continued with a 13-2 run to lead 52-32 with 17:09 left.

Hunter rallied back on a 3-pointer by Megan McKenna to get as close as 53-43 at the 14:18 mark, but Baruch controlled the rest of the way to clinch their fourth straight victory.

Monique Salmon had solid game with 17 points and eight assists, while Karlee Whipple finished with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists. Awa Diop recorded a double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) and Shadae Rice had double-digits for the second straight game with 10 points and seven assists.

Latesha Reddick recorded 12 rebounds, seven points and three blocked shots.

Deseree Boler led the Hunter Hawks with 23 points and Andrea Buckham recorded a double-double with 15 points, 13 rebounds and four steals.

Both teams attempted 77 total shots each this evening.

The Baruch men's and women's basketball teams will resume action this Friday night with another CUNYAC home doubleheader (Women, 5:30 pm; Men, 7:30 pm) against John Jay College of Criminal Justice in the ARC Arena. (Live Flash Stats Available)
