The men’s basketball team shot 51 percent to record an 89-84 non-conference home victory against Manhattanville College on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.

George Kunkel (10 rebounds), Tammer Farid (4-7, 3fg) and Lionel Hilaire (7-13 fg) scored 20 points each to lead the team to their eighth consecutive home victory.

Chris Beauchamp also had a solid game with 16 points, while Sean Loftus contributed six points and five rebounds off the bench.

Overall, both teams shot the ball well this evening (Baruch 51 percent, Manhattanville 55 percent), but the Bearcats scored 24 points off 14 Manhattanville turnovers.

Lamar Glass led five players in double-figure scoring for Manhattanville (5-5) with 16 points.

The Bearcats (7-1) will return to action on Saturday, January 2, by competing at the John Hopkins Tournament in Baltimore, Maryland. The team will play Kean University in a first round game scheduled for 1:00 pm. (As soon as a link for live stats is available for this game, it will be posted).
