John Jay College of Criminal Justice defeated the Bearcats, 5-4, in a CUNYAC match on Tuesday afternoon at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.

The Bearcats (6-3, 5-2 CUNYAC) started by winning two of the three doubles, but lost four of the six singles to suffer the 5-4 loss against the Bloodhounds (5-1, 3-1 CUNYAC).

Aleksandr Kolomiets won a tough #4 singles encounter, which he started losing 6-0, but came back to win 6-4, 6-2 to earn the victory.

Aliaksei Misitau was victorious at #6 singles by winning 6-2, 6-1.

Damon Ye and Steven Zak combined at #2 doubles to win, 8-5.

The men’s tennis team will return to action on Friday, April 16, with a 3:30 pm CUNYAC match against Hunter College at the U.S. National Tennis Center.
