The Violets of NYU defeated the Bearcats, 6-0, in a non-conference match on Wednesday night at the Met Oval in Maspeth, New York.

NYU (2-1) set the tone early with three corner kicks in the opening 90 seconds and took a 3-0 lead after 26 minutes of action.

Paolo Luciano finished the match with a hat-trick, while Niki Chow added two goals to help the Violets record their second consecutive victory.

Overall, NYU out-shot the Bearcats by a 25-8 margin in a clean match that also did not feature any yellow cards.

Marat Gubaydullin led Baruch (1-1-1) this evening with three total shots, while Valiantsin Kirykovich had two shots.

The men’s soccer team will return to action on Friday, September 10, with a tournament match against Farmingdale State at the Manhattanville College Valiants Classic. Kick off in Purchase, New York is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
