Kean Knocks Off Bearcats (82-64)

The Bearcats lost a non-conference contest to Kean University, 82-64, on Wednesday night in Union, New Jersey.

Vikki DeTata scored a career-high 20 points (7-13 fg) for the visiting Bearcats, while Jessica Duleba had 10 points and six rebounds in the road loss to an opponent from the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC).

The Bearcats struggled from the field shooting 30.6 percent (22-72). Kean shot 38.5 percent (30-78) and scored 28 points off 28 turnovers.

Naimah Clemons led the Kean Cougars with 27 points and three steals.

The women’s basketball team will now go on break for final exams and holidays.

Their next game is scheduled for Tuesday, January 3, with a 6:00 pm non-conference home contest against DeSales University from the Freedom Conference.

Following DeSales, the Bearcats will start the large portion of their CUNYAC schedule beginning with road games at John Jay on January 4 and rival Hunter on January 6.
