Men's Tennis Defeats Yeshiva (8-1), Team Record Now Stands at 4-0

The men’s tennis team defeated the Maccabees of Yeshiva University, 8-1, in a non-conference contest on Friday, March 25, at the Binghamton Racquet Club in Edgewater, New Jersey.

With the result, the Bearcats stay undefeated at 4-0, while Yeshiva from the Skyline Conference drop to 3-2 on the regular season.

The visiting Bearcats won five of the six singles and all three doubles to earn their fourth overall victory.

Aydar Suleymanov and Lukas Bircic won at #1 doubles by the score of 8-2, while Christopher Jenkins and Stephan Muller were victorious at #2 doubles with an 8-1 score. Steven Zak and Phillip Bleustein helped clinch the sweep of the doubles with an 8-3 victory at the #3 slot.

The men’s tennis team will return to action on Tuesday, March 29, with a 3:30 pm CUNYAC road contest at the College of Staten Island Dolphins.   

TENNIS POINTS SYSTEM: Teams played six singles and three doubles. Each single and double is worth one point. The team with five points or more wins.
