The men’s tennis team remains undefeated in the CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) after defeating the College of Staten Island Dolphins, 7-2, on Tuesday afternoon in Staten Island, New York.

The visiting Bearcats (5-0, 3-0 CUNYAC) won five of the six singles and two of the three doubles to defeat the Dolphins (4-3, 2-1 CUNYAC) on their home court.

Aydar Suleymanov (#1 singles, 6-4, 6-2), Christopher Jenkins (#2 singles, 6-2, 7-5) and Lukas Bircic (#3 singles, 6-1, 6-2) all stayed individually undefeated this season by winning their respective singles encounters.

Phillip Bleustein and Steven Zak teamed up at #3 doubles to record a convincing 8-2 victory.

The men’s tennis team will continue their schedule on Friday, April 1, with a 3:30 pm CUNYAC home match at the U.S. National Tennis Center against the Cardinals of York College.
