Box Score

The men’s soccer team lost their NCAA first round match to #11 nationally-ranked Brandeis University Judges by the score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon in Waltham, Massachusetts.

The visiting Bearcats dug themselves into a hole early by trailing 2-0 after 13 minutes of action, but they settled down the rest of the match to keep the Judges off the scoreboard.

Unfortunately, the offense could not find a hole in the Brandeis defense and time ran out to suffer the 2-0 defeat in Baruch’s third-ever appearance in the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament.

Brandeis (17-2-1) won the shot battle with a 20-6 margin and forced goalkeeper
Helder Correia into making seven saves.

Oren Kozlowski led the Bearcats (11-6-3) with two shots, while Nicholas Kolaj, Akil George, Christopher Peralta and Victor Tlepshev finished with one shot each in the disappointing loss.

Brandeis will advance to the second round tomorrow at 5:00 pm to face this evening’s second match winner between Tufts University and Vassar College.
