The softball team lost both of their games on Saturday at the Seagull Invitational in Salisbury, Maryland.

They lost the first contest to #3 nationally-ranked Christopher Newport University by the score of 23-0 in a one-hitter.

The lone highlight for the Bearcats was
Chelsea DeGuzman reaching over the fence in the fifth inning to rob a home run. She also had the lone hit with an infield single in the first inning.

In the second game, the Bearcats fell by the score of 9-1 to Frostburg State. They recorded their only run in the fifth inning as DeGuzman scored from third base on an RBI ground out by

Courtney White had a solid game for the Bearcats by batting 2-for-3, with a single and double.

The Bearcats finish their early season back-to-back weekend trips to the mid-atlantic region.

They will return to action next Saturday, March 17, with a non-conference doubleheader at 12:00 pm at the State University of New York at Old Westbury.
