Men's Tennis Continue Winning Ways, Shutout Brooklyn College 9-0

The men’s tennis team won their fifth consecutive match by shutting out the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College, 9-0, in a CUNYAC home match played on Tuesday afternoon at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
 
With the result, the Bearcats improve to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the CUNYAC, while the visiting Bulldogs fall to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the CUNYAC.

The Bearcats posted the convincing shutout by winning all six singles and three doubles encounters.


Artem Gorbachevskiy won easily at #1 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Phillip Bleustein came out on top at #5 singles with the same 6-0, 6-0 score.

Stephan Muller and Christopher Jenkins had little trouble winning at #2 doubles with a score of 8-1.

The men’s tennis team will return to action on Friday, March 23, with a 3:30 pm non-conference home match at the U.S. National Tennis Center against Manhattanville College.
