The softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to undefeated Montclair State University in a non-conference encounter played on Friday afternoon in Montclair, New Jersey.

The Bearcats suffered losses of 8-0 and 2-0 to drop their season record to 3-9 overall, while Montclair State from the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) improves to a perfect 13-0.

The Bearcats struggled at the plate this afternoon and were limited to only one hit in the first game via a fourth inning single to left field by Carmen Pagan-Colon. They were no-hit in the second game.

The softball team will look to bounce back as they begin the CUNYAC portion of their regular season schedule on Saturday, March 24, with a 12:00 pm home doubleheader on “Think Pink Day” against York College.
