The men’s soccer team lost to #17 nationally-ranked NYU, 4-0, in a non-conference home match played on Saturday afternoon at the Met Oval in Maspeth, New York.

The visiting Violets from the University Athletic Association (UAA) scored all four of their goals in the first half, including three during a six minute span, to walk away with the shutout victory.

The Violets outshot the Bearcats, 23-9, and also had a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks. Kyle Green led the way with two goals scored and one assist.

Oren Kozlowski led the Bearcats with three shot attempts, while Nicholas Kolaj, Christopher Peralta, Marat Gubaydullin, Robert Kawasaki, Arlind Stafaj and Brian Wright finished with one each.

The Bearcats will return to action on Monday, September 17, with 4:00 non-conference road match at the State University of New York at Old Westbury.
