Women's Volleyball Sweeps Lehman & John Jay at Multi-Match; Extend CUNYAC Win Streak to 26

The women's volleyball team stayed undefeated in the CUNYAC standings on Columbus Day Monday by sweeping Lehman and John Jay Colleges at the multi-match hosted by Hunter College in upper Manhattan.

The Bearcats started by sweeping the Lightning of Lehman College with scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.


McKenzie Davidson led the attack again with six kills, while Rebecca Peralta and Sydney Parks (seven blocks) had five kills each. Crystle Dela Cruz dished out 21 assists and Amy Sung finished with 15 digs to start the morning on a winning note.

In the second match, the Bearcats swept again with scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-14 to go 7-0 in the CUNYAC standings and extend their conference winning streak (regular & postseason) to a team record 26.


Davidson led again with nine kills, while Peralta contributed seven kills and career-high 15 aces. Dela Cruz was busy again with 25 assists to help the visiting Bearcats walk off with the victory.

The Bearcats will return to action with a road match in Danbury, Connecticut on Thursday night at 7:00 pm against Western Connecticut State University. Please
