The women's volleyball team lost to the Pride of Springfield College in a NCAA Championship Tournament first round playoff match on Friday evening at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

The Bearcats suffered a 25-18, 25-8, 27-25 loss to finish their 2013 season with a 19-17 record.

The Pride (26-5) from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) hit for a torrid .424 hitting percentage (50 kills), which is the highest an opponent this season hit against the Bearcats.

The Bearcat accumulated 29 kills and finished hitting .143. They led at one point late in the third set 21-14, but the Pride (26-5) stormed back to win 27-25 to earn the victory.

Rebecca Peralta led the team this evening with nine kills. Michelle Stommes (.313) and Sydney Parks (.263) finished with eight kills each.

Crystle Dela Cruz dished out 26 assists and totaled 14 digs for another double-double. Amy Sung had 11 digs.
