INVITATIONAL RESULTS/SCHEDULE

The women's volleyball team went 1-1 in the first day of the Dig Pink Invitational hosted on Friday by the State University of New York at Oneonta.

The Bearcats started against Lasell College of Boston and won in four sets with scores of 25-19, 19-25, 25-15, 34-32.

Rebecca Peralta had a monster match with a double-double of 20 kills and 12 digs. Sydney Parks (15 kills), Michelle Stommes (14 kills), and McKenzie Davidson (13 kills) also reached double-figures in kills to lead a balanced attack.

Crystle Dela Cruz had a double-double of her own with 47 assists and 20 digs. Amy Sung collected 21 digs.

In the second match of the evening, the Bearcats fell in four to Ithaca College with scores of 18-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-14.

Davidson led the attack in the hard-fought loss with a double-double of 16 kills and 15 digs, while Parks finished with 11 kills. Sung totaled 16 digs on the defensive end.

The Bearcats will play Saturday in the consolation bracket with a rare non-conference match against rival Hunter at 11:00 am, followed by a 1:00 pm contest against Montclair State.
