The men’s tennis team finished the CUNYAC portion of their schedule with a 9-0 home victory over rival Hunter College on Friday afternoon at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens.

The Bearcats took control in all the matches, except in the first singles, where Danil Ovechkin and Dave Joseph battled to a long singles encounter. Ovechkin came out on top with a 7-6 (9-7), 6-4 victory to help clinch the sweep.

The Bearcats capture the CUNYAC regular season championship in first place with a 7-0 record and will earn the #1 seed in the CUNYAC Championship Tournament that will begin on Friday, April 26, with quarterfinal round matches.
