In the opener, the visiting Dolphins took the lead with a run in the first inning, but the Bearcats went ahead in the second inning on a two run homer by
Christine Bowman .

The Dolphins tied the game in the third inning, but the Bearcats scored the winning run in the fifth on an RBI single by Flint to score
Toniann Donde.

In the second game, the two teams played a battle expected of two teams battling for first place as the game went into extra innings.

The Bearcats trailed 6-4 heading into the sixth inning, but a Donde sacrifice fly RBI and a Flint RBI single tied the game.

The Dolphins scored in their half of the 10th inning and kept the Bearcats from scoring in the bottom to record the 8-7 victory.
